Biography:
John has been practicing law since 1994. After graduating from Vanderbilt University in 1991 and the University of Kentucky in 1994, John practiced law with Clark, Ward & Cave in Lexington, Kentucky, where he practiced in the area of civil litigation, with a primary focus on insurance defense. John then practiced law with his father in Florida, where they represented individuals throughout the southeastern United States. John has been with Ward, Hocker & Thornton, PLLC since 2011.
John practices in the area of civil litigation focusing on insurance defense, accident and injury law and mass tort. John has represented individuals throughout Kentucky as well as the southeastern United States.
John and his wife, Julia, are the parents of Ellie, Jack and Ann Everett. He has served as a soccer coach for his children's teams. He is also a class agent for the Amici Fund of the Woodberry Forest School where he is involved in fund raising. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and being involved in youth sports.
John also serves on the Fiscal Services Committee of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass.
