Biography
Gene F. Zipperle Jr., was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where he has practiced law since 1988. He attended the University of Louisville, where he obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in science and then attended the School of Law.

Upon graduating law school, Mr. Zipperle began his litigation career concentrating on insurance defense. He was litigated cases in a variety of forums including the state and federal courts of Indiana and Kentucky, and federal court in Florida North Carolina. His current practice focuses on all aspects of transportation and trucking litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and insurance defense.

Mr. Zipperle has participated as a speaker at several practice seminars, most recently at the DRI Roundtable, in May of 2009. He is an avid legal writer, and has published several articles in the Defense Research Institute publication “For the Defense”, as well as numerous trade publications.

Mr. Zipperle and his wife Mary Jo, have two sons, Adam and Eric. Mr. Zipperle spends as much time as he can outdoors running and hiking. He and his wife support a number of civic and school related events in their community.
