Biography:
John Powell became associated with the firm in 2004 after practicing for three years in the General Counsel’s Office at the Kentucky Justice Cabinet. While at the Justice Cabinet John served as Cabinet liaison to both the Kentucky House and Senate as well as representing the Kentucky State Police and Corrections and Juvenile Justice Departments as legal counsel. John also served as the Cabinet’s Chief Information Officer. Prior to law school, where he served as Moot Court Board President, John worked as an engineer for a Fortune 500 manufacturing company. John has an undergraduate degree in Physics and a graduate degree in Astrophysics; and, he is currently a part time instructor of Astronomy for the Kentucky Community and Technical College system.
