Biography:
Tyler H. Fields is a native of Winchester, KY and a 2002 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School. He attended college at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY, where he obtained a degree in accounting in 2006. While at Bellarmine, Tyler was a four-year member of the men's golf team, which he served as team captain in 2005-2006. He was named to the All-Conference team twice, the Academic All-Conference Team all four years, and led the Knights to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship in 2004. In addition, Tyler was named a prestigious Golf Coaches Association of America "All American Scholar" in 2005 and 2006 for his academic and athletic accomplishments. Tyler was voted team MVP twice, and upon graduation, was named the "Silver Knight Award" winner for outstanding senior male athlete at Bellarmine.
Tyler graduated from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law in the spring of 2009. While at Chase, Tyler was very involved in the College’s Center for Excellence in Advocacy and the National Trial Advocacy Team. He spent three semesters as an advocate for the Trial Advocacy team, and was a member of the championship team at the 2008 Kentucky Mock Trial Competition, where he was a nominee for Best Advocate. Additionally, Tyler obtained valuable clerking experience during his law school career, working for a solo practitioner, a small insurance defense firm, and the United States Attorney’s Office.
Tyler joined Ward, Hocker & Thornton as a litigation associate in the fall of 2009. His practice primarily consists of civil litigation defense, with a concentration on insurance defense, motor vehicle litigation, products liability defense, personal injury, and business and commercial litigation. Tyler is an avid sports fan, particularly of the University of Kentucky football and basketball teams, and the Cincinnati Reds. In his free time, Tyler enjoys going to UK football games, playing golf, reading, and spending time with his family and wife Lindsey, a physical therapist. Tyler and Lindsey reside in Lexington.
